    Fish

I took a few photo's of some plants  around my fish pond the other day I  also took a few pic's of my fish whilst I was at it, At the time, I thought everything was normal in the pond, same fish swimming about quite happily (must be the droppings from the Opium plant...lol...) and same annoying algae and Blanket Weed growing as fast as ever, eldest daughter comes for a visit today, goes out to inspect the pond and low and behold  ''Baby fish'',  I have had the pond for several years now and this is the first year we have noticed any babies.
I presume the algae and Blanket weed has served to protect the babies as I should think 'Damien', my one and only Koi (which my eldest daughter brought me last year) could quite easily consume 6 or more of these babies with one mouthful, I suspect he undoubtedly has already had a good feast on them.
I have tried to seperate the part of the pond in which the babies are residing with some net curtain. This has managed to stop the larger fish getting to them but not quite stopped the 'babies' getting through the small mesh holes into the rest of the pond,  lets just hope the little ones realize the dangers and stay in their own bit. they have managed to survive so far so I guess they know the dangers they are up against  and perhaps the 'net curtain' will give them that little extra added protection. I will try and get a few pics of the 'small fry'' later. best wishes to you all, xx.  Ya all 'Can Can' now...lol... (Media Player!!!)

    Yodelling

I seem to have a thing about Yodelling, I love to listen to it and only wish I could do it. I thought you had to have a natural talent to do  that sort of thing but it seems as though you can teach yourself from  a 'tape' and 'text' book,  check out an amazing 11 year old who says has done just that.    ( Remember to pause Media player first.)

    Panic

I do wish MSN would stop messing around with their format on spaces, I noticed, (well someone else noticed for me, ...Thanks Millie) that at the heading of my blogs they had decided to put a grey border at the top with the word 'Blog' in it.  I tried to get rid of this grey bar and the word ''BLOG' by going to the customize section and clicking onto 'rearrange or hide modules' on that page opening I went to the little arrow at the right hand top of the blog which then said 'rearrange' on the first line and 'hide' on the second, I clicked 'hide' and that was it,,,, gone!!!  the whole thing,,, no reference to blogs left at all, and no blogs either!!!? they had completely disappeared.
Not being completely computer literate I spent the best part of 3 hours (chatting with friends in between) trying to find out how to get me blogs back,  went to their 'help section', and wot a fat lot of good that was...lol..., tells you how to hide things  but don't tell you how to get the damn things back again.
I must have clicked on everything going and got extremely frustrated at my inability to sort out something which was probably only a click away to the more accomplished computer user,  after beating up my daughter for breathing and not stopping when I told her to, then pushing the wife down the stairs coz she was in my way, I decided that I was going to see if I could write a really nasty blog about MSN's new changes.
A new challenge arose then!!  how to put in a blog???.  At the top on the right hand side is ''whats new'' (yeah cheers)  'your space' (well i'm in it aint I?) 'Kingtroy' (yep that's me,, so wot!!) ''more'' (with a little arrow pointing down) like i am gonna dare click 1 of them little arrows again...lol...,  on the right hand side is ''customize'' ( bin there and know wot happened last time) Oh!! and that's got 1 of them little arrows as well,  ''options'' ( with another little arrow, and I bin there as well), and last but not least is that little question mark ''?'' (as I said, 'fat lot of use that was') I decided to throw caution to the wind and click everything again, I eventually went to ''more'' and there was the word 'blog', clicked on that and 'nothing' or so I thought!!, I didn't at first notice the left hand side of my space having an ''add'' written in the list (well!! why couldn't they have just put ''add a blog'' in 'more'?)
Clicked the 'add' sign and low and behold all my blogs re-appeared, I've a good mind to 'sue' Msn for all the stress and panic they caused me.
I did manage to get rid of that 'grey ''blog'' bar' though and if you want to know how to get rid of it!!!! I wouldn't advise asking me...lol..
I have just spent about 10 minutes writing this blog as well,,,I thought there wasn't any sense in  wasting all that effort in getting me blogs back without letting you know about it.  PS:  that little bit about me daughter and the wife!!  I was only joking...lol... best wishes to all.

    Honest Survey???

Went to a friends Leaving party yesterday , Saturday, (he is soon to be leaving England to live in Crete  ).   It was held at a pub which was well within walking distance of my home, enabling me to have a few drinks without worrying about driving.  The pub has quite a large hall which was set out with tables and chairs and enough room left for a dancing area, (a Disco had been laid on as well). The corner of the room had been set with tables to accomadate the food  which had been laid on.
At the rear of the hall there were french doors leading to a fairly large garden    with bench tables and chairs equiped with a parosol   on each.
On our arrival  we passed by the windows at the front of the pub and looked through,,, we thought that we may have been one of the first to arrive as it didn't look very busy, the entrance we were going to use is at the side of the pub but as we walked around we could see the rear garden 'heaving' with my friends guests, we therefore decided to enter via the rear gate, once into the garden we pushed our way through to get to the hall, ( the bar is inside) we found my friend at the bar, complete with a fresh round of drinks, about to join the others in the garden.
There were probably about 12 tables set out in the hall of which only 2 had guests sitting at, 2 or 3 children were on the dance floor, The remaining 40 or more guests  were all packed into the garden area. Now you may think this was due to a nice spell of weather ,  I must admit it wasn't a bad evening albeit being a bit windy, But no, this wasn't the sole, or even the main reason for being outside, the main reason was the goverments new 'ban on smoking' law  which came into effect on July 1st.
Freedom to smoke outside seemed to encourage 90% of the guests to drink/chat and enjoy the evening at the tables set out in the garden.

The goverment told us that according to the results of a survey which they had done, this was the sole reason for banning smoking in public enclosed spaces. Based on this evenings party I am now wondering if they conducted their survey at the annual ''anti smoking'' convention!!!!.

    Mid week diary

    The week so far.
Monday:- Wayne arrives home unexpectedly, His course at the Training barracks has been put back,  a mistake was made on his provisional driving licence, It has to be returned to the driving licence centre and be corrected before it is valid for use, therefore, he wasn't able to go onto his driving course. He decided to claim his holiday leave that is due to him and come home till Sunday.
Tuesday:-  Cant get on comp coz Wayne has claimed it to sort out his new mobile phone, not complaining coz he gave me his old one which is less than 6 months old and a lot more modern than mine.
Wednesday:  Managed to get on comp to sort my (new) phone out, Done a bit of space hoping, shopping, cleaning & had me shower ready to go to the darts match,  got to the 'semi finals' at darts so done better than normal,  must have been due to me ''180'' I scored, and would you believe it!!!!  no certificate!!! they only give them out for 180's scored in a league match  Dammit!!!
Thursday:-  That's today,,,  Daughter Kes has a Preview day at her new school to meet the teachers and to participate in sports, which is the theme for the day. At least it gave me an insight into the traffic problems I will be up against when she starts full time  ...lol....  As I started to pull into the road, which takes you to the main entrance of the school, I realized that no vehicles were going anywhere fast. With cars parked on either side of the street there was only enough room for one line of traffic, trouble was,  the vehicles coming in at the other end of the street were using that same single line, hence 'one big traffic JAM!!' ........ I quickly decided to pull out again and park up another road further away and walk from there. Took me about 5 minutes to get back to the road and sure enough,,, nothing had moved...lol....
After dropping Kes off at the main entrance I returned to my vehicle via the same congested road listening to the sound of horns and a few choice words    being exchanged between  driver's of the unmovable vehicles. I can imagine the same problem when I return to collect her later  so I will be leaving slightly earlier and making sure I give that road a wide berth, You never know,  they might all still be stuck in the jam from this morning...lol...
Grand-daughter Demi's 11th Birthday today  (Demi's first preview at the same school today as well) so will be visiting my big daughter's house later to deliver the Birthday present,  have a bit of cake  and a little celebratory 'birthday drink'!!. Then it's off to Darts again for a bit of practise. The fact that we practise in a pub has nothing to do with why I play darts so much...lol...
Right, thats brought things up to date.  I think the only reason I wrote this blog was due to the events of this morning,,, I just had to tell someone...lol...  Best Wishes to you all..

    The Weeks events

It seems to have been a hectic week, and that includes the weather as well, fair bit of rain on Monday, thunderstorm and cloud burst's on Tuesday, which left about 2 to 3" of water to paddle in outside my front and back door, and a mix of sunshine and showers for the rest of the week.
Darts on Wednesday, Birthday on Thursday, so lots of guests visiting, I much prefer birthdays at the weekend, that way there is a good excuse for a party, midweek parties just ain't the same...lol... An electrics problem in the backyard wiring on Thursday as well, which forced me to cut off the power to the outside sheds and pond to await my fixing.
A visit to daughters new school on  Thursday evening, for a preview of what to expect when she starts in September, sort of messed up any late night Birthday celebrations.
I am now in possession of a New computer chair, wireless keyboard and mouse, a Hugh 'pop up' Gazebo, some nice new clothes, a few bottles of the hard stuff (hic!!), some chocs (yum yum) and a weird and wonderful 'car wheel' clock, (don't ya just love birthdays...lol...)
A small removal job today, already done and finished, and the backyard electrics sorted, had to replace an underground cable, Probably damaged by all the rain we had on Tuesday. With another 'removal job' to do tomorrow there seems to be no peace for the wicked...lol... Life just seems so hectic at the moment. Anyway there you have it in just one blog,  my weeks diary...lol... Best wishes to all.
