Pass out

It's off to the Brother-in-laws (Wayne) army training camp tomorrow (Friday) to see the 'Pass out' parade, this is where they receive the honour of completing their basic training in combat and physical training and are deemed fit to join the regular British army. He will be returning home with us for a short while until he receives his next posting to the next training camp where he will learn his chosen profession.  I am hoping to get some good pictures and will also 'video' the event if possible, I say 'if possible' because I have been informed that there will probably be about 2000 or more guests at the event so I will be jostling for position on the front line...lol... One of these days I will purchase a digital camcorder so that I can publish my own video films on my space but untill then ordinary pictures will have to do.   Catch you later,  with some decent pics I hope. Best wishes. x.

Missing Madeleine

I had a new visitor the other day who left me a comment, I went to (Beths) space to thank her for visiting and noticed this blog.  Although I had already heard about this news I thought that it was such a good idea to add it to her blog that I thought I would also enter it into mine. The more people know about this the better.

Please read this message and pass it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you are aware my niece is still missing and I am asking everyone I know to send this as a chain letter i.e. you send it to everyone you know and ask them to do the same, as the story is only being covered in Britain, Eire and Portugal. We don't believe that she is in Portugal anymore and need to get her picture and the story across Europe as quickly as possible. Suggestions are welcome.

Web appeal to help find missing toddler

Information about missing Madeline requested by child protection groups

Andrea-Marie Vassou, Computeract!ve 11 May 2007

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) and Virtual Global Taskforce (VGT) have launched a web appeal for information on missing three-year-old, Madeline McCann.

The web appeal, which has been requested by the Portuguese police, comes after Portuguese newspapers reported that, of the many theories, a British paedophile gang snatched Madeleine.

Madeleine, of Rothley, Leicestershire, disappeared from an apartment in Praia da Luz, in the Algarve, a week ago; her parents had left her and her younger twin siblings while they went to dinner in a nearby restaurant in the holiday complex in which they were staying.

It is hoped the online appeal, which appears in English, Portuguese and Spanish, will help extend the reach of the search to as many people as possible. This includes holiday makers who may have recently returned from Portugal, or be intending to visit the country.

Anyone with any information is urged to call the Portuguese police direct on 00351 282 405 400 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Two forensic behavioural analysts from the CEOP Centre have been assisting Portugese police with their inquiry to give them get an insight into how a child abductor might have acted or be thinking.

Stephen Winyard, a businessman has also offered a £1m reward for information leading to Madeleine's return .The 57-year-old owns Stobo Castle in the Scottish Borders.

Service Held For Missing Madeleine

Updated: 23:21, Friday May 11, 2007

Hundreds of people have attended a church service for the missing three-year-old Madeleine McCann.

Members of the youngster's family joined friends in speaking at the event at St Andrew's Catholic Cathedral in Glasgow.

Madeleine's father Gerry is from Glasgow.

Madeleine's uncle John urged the congregation to make sure the youngster remains in their thoughts.

In Portugal, Madeleine's father vowed to leave "no stone unturned" as the search for his daughter entered the eighth day.

Gerry McCann spoke to reporters with his wife Kate by his side: "We're doing absolutely everything to assist the police", he said.

"We will leave no stone unturned in the search for our daughter Madeleine."

Mr McCann - who said the couple remain "positive and focused" - thanked people around the world for their support and the police for their hard work.

But they have asked that residents in their home town of Rothley do not celebrate Madeleine's fourth birthday on Saturday.

They requested that plans for a party be put on hold until Madeleine is found and returns home.

Meanwhile, David Beckham has made an appeal calling for the safe return of the three-year-old, who was taken from the family's holiday apartment in Praia da Luz.

The former England captain recorded a message after training with Real Madrid in Spain.

It comes as British businessman Stephen Winyard offered a £1m reward to anyone who provides information leading to the girl's return.

The owner of a Scottish health spa made the offer through The Times newspaper.

Sky News Crime Correspondent Martin Brunt said a number of leads are being investigated.

Three British people, who were dressed in beach clothes, were taken in by police for questioning.

They were not arrested and it is not known if they are suspects or witnesses.

Two people with blankets over their heads - described as male suspects by local media - had also been seen leaving a police station.

CCTV of a woman and two men with a girl matching Madeleine's description at a nearby petrol station is being analysed. Their car had British number plates.

Sky News understands that the man who forms part of the couple has dark skin and dark, collar-length hair with a middle parting. He is 1.75m tall.

He speaks English, has small glasses and was wearing a white shirt and beige trousers.

The woman is slightly shorter with long, blonde hair. She speaks English.

The other man is tall, well built, middle aged with a full face. He has straight, collar-length dark hair and was scruffy and unshaven, with greying stubble.

He also speaks English, was carrying a military-style backpack and was wearing a shirt with jeans and waistcoat.

And sniffer dogs picked up a trail from the McCanns apartment which led to a neighbouring flat which had been used by a British couple or family.

Chief Inspector Olegario Sousa said that a 200 kilometre (125 mile) square area had been scoured for clues since she vanished more than a week ago.

No arrests had been made in the case and items of clothing found by police teams did not belong to Madeleine, he added.

Nudity

I understand there is considerable interest in seeing me in an unclothed state, I have considered all the options and believe that in this day and age nudity is part of everyday life, so before Millie reveals my all (which I believe is her intent) I thought I would beat her to it and publish my naked pic before she gets the chance. I do hope no one will take offence.  Please feel free to click on the link but do remember that it's only fair that if I show you mine...etc....

Haven't you ever wondered how it works?

Well when my computer broke down I decided to investigate.

End of season

Another loss for grandsons footy team (last league game of the season).  Promotion to the 1st division was already assured and as the Champions title had already eluded the team it was a good chance to experiment with players and positions. (Match Report) Next season will be an excellent challenge, battling it out with the 'big boys' of division 1.
A few tournaments have been entered for 'out of season', the presentation evening and the summer party are all still to come so we still have plenty to look forward to.
