The BlackbirdThis all started on the weekend 6/7th may 2006 , well, for me it did anyway, for the Blackbird it can only have started ,at the most, 8 days earlier, as that is when the bicycle, that now has the blackbirds nest firmly wedged against the front wheel, was last used. i was about to tidy up at the side of the shed, general work, a bit of sweeping and putting things straight, when i noticed the nest, it was empty at the time and i did think it was a silly place to build a nest what with two large german shepherds running loose, kids and grandkids on the loose as well, and built on a 2ft high wall with the nest being supported by the wheel of the bike, but i thought i had better not disturb it just in case, and then on tuesday the 9th, one egg,

then came wednesday
THEN THURSDAY FOR SALE 1 USED NEST, GOOD CONDITION, USED ONCE, SLEEPS 4, OFFERS ,,, THE END...  THEN ALONG CAME FRIDAY  SATURDAY COMES AND NO MORE EGGS SO IT LOOKS AS THOUGH 4 IS THE LOT, BUT I DID MANAGE TO GET A PIC OF BIRDY SITTING ON HER NEST  AND EVEN A CLOSE UP  Dad keeping a look out  Mum waiting for me to clear off ..lol..  Hatching time, 1 to go  All hatched now, thur 25th may  feeding time  getting bigger by the day  and still more grub  Mum & Dad having a chat during feeding  1st one ready to leave  And then there was 3  2 ready to go now  Only 1 goes this time so still 2 left  This one uses the ladder to escape...lol...  Awww! all on his own now  Well the last one leaves the nest on tuesday evening 6th of june so in less than a month they have been laid, hatched, and flown the nest. Dad has a quick word with the last one before it leaves (probably about the birds and bees ..lol..)  just one last thing then before we close the story  <<Rooney Will Rooney be fit enough to play for England ?
strange but trueIt's strange,isn't it. You stand in the middle of a library and go ''Aaaaaaagghhhh'' and everyone stares at you. but you do the same thing on an aeroplane, and everyone joins in. |
