LUV YA, XXX The title chase (over?)The championship looks as though it has slipped away from Grandson's football team after losing a very hard fought and equally crucial match, with 1 more game to play they must now rely on other matches going their way and with the main contender playing one of the lower placed teams things do not look very optimistic. Promotion to the 1st division next season is assured but the Championship Trophy seems to have eluded them.
The excitement of this season has been amazing for all the families and friends of the team so

Football.Grandsons under 12's footy team played another friendly this week just to get their fitness back up to standard after the few weeks lay off over the Easter period, they again played the under 13's team whom they played and achieved a good result a few months back. Last time they played the under 13's were a player short, this time the under 13's turned up with their full squad plus a full count of substitutes, Grandsons team finished up losing 2-1 but put up a good display against the older team.(match report) Local newsFriday is local newspaper day and I purchased my normal copy to check on the local 'boy's football' results from last sunday. Although grandsons team did not play last week (no game this week either coz of easter sunday) results went their way but they have now dropped down to 2nd in the division, but with a game in hand they can still regain the 'top slot' if they win their final 2 matches,,,, regardless of the next 2 results they have now gained promotion to the 1st division. The title of CHAMPIONS is still there for the taking so ........Come on the lads'......... |
