Break time2 Weeks off from normal routine, School is out for Easter break so a few 'lay in's' will help me recover from the ''daily routine' stress, Wayne arrived home on friday evening, he has a 9 day break from his army training so we will be having a few drinks to celebrate, he has already treated me to a bottle of J/D and got all of us at home a nice chinese take away meal. No grandsons footy this week either (another excuse to stay in bed). Hope you all have a good week, I know i'm going to!!!. Foreign FoodsI quite like to try foreign foods and groceries now and again but I have found some dodgy ones that I wasn't sure of,, I thought I had better share these with you just in case..so I have put a list in ( weird stuff ), on the left <<<<< so that you can all look out for them if you ever travel abroad. Rainham DrawWith only 2 points seperating 1st and 2nd place in the second division,, grandsons football team needed a win today to keep their 'top slot' Although only a draw was acheived, luck was with us as the 2nd placed team could only manage a draw as well. The quest for the title remains ( match report )
Daughter Kes has quickly achieved her 2nd and 3rd basic grade awards with the federation of artistic roller skating, (fars) .... well done girl!!! ClocksClocks go forward tonight/ tomorrow, (whenever) but they definately go forward...lol. Back on topPurchased the local paper this morning to keep check on the situation with Grandsons football team, seems they have now caught up with their (game in hand) and are now back as leaders of the 2nd division, with 3 games to go things are still looking good.
Three teams are still in with a chance to nick the title from us so it is a 'must win' situation for all the remaining games. It is gonna be one hell of a celebration if we do it. ''Come on the lads!!!'' The Title chaseThe Title chase continues for Rainham 84 (under 12's). Although top position is currently occupied by Wigmore Youth who are 1 point ahead due to an extra game being played, Rainham are still in position to retake the top position with their (game in hand) and todays 3-0 win maintains that position ( Match Report ) UpdateAnother much needed victory for grandsons football team against 'Fulston Zebras' to keep them 'top' of their division. ( match report). And Daughter 'Kes' who has recently joined 'the federation of artistic roller skating' has acheived her 'Basic skills award 1' so congratulations all round to both. A PoemYou want to write, but who might see?
What can you write?, and who might agree?.
How many will say? 'its the right thing to do',
and how many will say, 'have you thought it through?'.
Its so hard to know which way to turn,
when love returns and your heart starts to yearn,
Mistakes have been made not so long in the past,
would this time really be the last?.
so many memories of the good and the bad,
lots of people will say, 'you must be mad'.
I cannot write what is in my thoughts,
But my thanks go to all who give me support
My heart is aching but it's not made of stone,
and the final decision I must face alone. T. Long weekendIt seems nowhere like 3 weeks since we visited Wayne (my brother-in-law) at the junior army training camp at Royston but here he is back home with the family for his long weekend.
Big hugs were called for as he let himself in (he still has his own front door key) and threw himself onto the floor as the dogs attacked him with their tongues and tails, I'm sure they have missed him almost as much as I have, no chance for anyone else to get near him untill the dogs had finished (they are big beast's) I was next in line followed by my daughter Kes, then came his sister (my x and Kes's mother) who is staying over for the long weekend and having the spare bed in Kes's bedroom, (It was her weekend to have Kes anyway) must admit x and I are getting on a lot better now, It's almost like having the family back together again.
After the initial greeting it was drinks all round to celebrate his return and plenty of conversation finding out how it is all going for him, he seems to be really enjoying himself at training, he has had a few pitfalls during training but is determined to carry on and see it through. I know I miss him terribly when he is away but as long as he is doing what he really wants to do then I am happy for him. He is planning his own fun packed weekend, which i'm sure he has been looking forward to for ages, and we will be spending plenty of time together whilst he is here. Anyone who has a loved one in the army will know how I am feeling at the moment so, nuff said,,, |
